Wildcard Road Show

Most magic shows happen in familiar, purpose-built environments — theaters, ballrooms, and professional event spaces designed for large audiences.

That’s not what I’m building here.

The Wildcard Road Show is a series of intimate, close-up pop-up performances designed to happen in places that aren’t normally used for live magic at all. Unexpected rooms. Interesting spaces. Locations with personality and a story.

These are not stage shows.

They’re close-up comedy-magic experiences for 10 to 30 people — small enough to feel personal, loose enough to feel fun, and designed so the room itself becomes part of the experience.

  • Bars with back rooms.
  • Shops that low-key open after hours.
  • Unusual businesses.
  • Private spaces with a story.

Think places like a barber shop after closing, an antique shop filled with curios, old books, and objects that already feel magical, or a furniture showroom where the audience is scattered among couches and chairs.

The goal isn’t scale or spectacle. The goal is connection and share-ability.

Interesting spaces don’t fight the show — they shape it. They change the rhythm, the laughs, the energy. Each location creates a one-of-a-kind experience that couldn’t be duplicated in a standard venue… which is exactly why people talk about it afterward.

These pop-ups also create attention for the spaces themselves.

Short social media clips. Reactions. Behind-the-scenes moments.

Content that highlights the location, its personality, and the fact that something unexpected happened there — the kind of exposure that businesses can’t buy with ads.

And this is where you come in.

If you know a place that makes you think, “Wait… here?”

I want to hear about it.

I’m currently collecting quirky, interesting locations that aren’t normally used for live shows as part of the Wildcard Road Show tour. It starts close to home and continues from there.

Incentive

If you suggest a spot that turns into a Wildcard Road Show Stop:

  • You’ll get two free tickets to the performance
  • And a shout-out (or custom moment) tied to that show

No formal pitch.  No logistics required.

Just hit reply and tell me what the place is and why it’s interesting.

Because magic in a theater is great.

Magic in a place it doesn’t belong — that’s unforgettable.

More soon.
