Colleges

I started performing at colleges and universities all the way back in 1998 with Kenny Kramer, The Real Kramer.  We performed at the National Association For Campus Activities (NACA) national conference in the main room.  We had to follow a woman with a very sad story about the loss of both her parents.  Despite our “opener” making the audience cry, we were able to win them back and make them laugh.

As a result of showcasing at NACA, we booked our first gigs at colleges and universities.  I immediately felt at home in the college market and have been entertaining at campuses across the country ever since.

I’ve also been a member of the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities (APCA) and have plans to attend their convention as well as NACA’s.

Here are the programs I have available for your school:

  • Strolling Close-Up Magic – I can do this as a promotional tool for my stage show, or you can hire me to do this exclusively.
  • Formal Close-Up Magic Show – Do you think your school is too small to bring in entertainment?  I can perform an intimate, 45 minute, close-up magic show, for groups of 30 or smaller.
  • Comedy and Magic Stage Show – There are a lot of magicians out there that call themselves comedy-magicians just because they get a chuckle from using an old joke.  My stage show is original, high-energy, and hysterical.  It includes audience participation and is mostly improvised, which means the show your school gets is one of a kind.
  • Stand-Up Comedy – I also perform stand-up comedy without any magic at all.
  • Sax & Magic – The Sax & Magic Show is a combination of comedy, magic, and music.  My brother, “One Night” Stan Waldman, is a sax player that’s toured the country and played with some of the biggest names in music, including Chuck Berry, Ben E. King, The Drifters, Clarence Clemons, and many others.  This show features Stan playing live sax, but he also performs magic along with me.  There’s a ton of byplay between us that makes the show bigger and the laughs harder.
  • Professional Speaker Celeste DeCamps – I am proud to be working with Celeste DeCamps in the college market.  Although her main talk is geared toward building the confidence and self-esteem of women, that doesn’t mean the guys are left out.  Celeste speaks on many topics and can customize a presentation for your school.
