This was a really fun gig. Upon my arrival, Tess and her roommate Natalie made all of their guests stay in the bedrooms while I set-up my show.
I told her I was ready, and the crowd came pouring in, like clowns out of a tiny VW bug. Nobody knew why I was there, and it was really cool when they erupted in applause after I told them I was Magic Castle magician Zach Waldman. 🙂
It was Tess's birthday, but instead of her guests surprising her, she surprised them with a formal close-up magic show by me.
This was one of those gigs I felt was going to be great when I booked it, and this group didn't disappoint. They were full of energy, loved to laugh, and seemed to truly enjoy the magic.
