I'm returning to The Magic Castle November 1st - 5th. My performances in the close-up gallery are at 7:00PM, 7:45PM, 8:30PM, and 9:15PM.
I've been a member of The Magic Castle since 2001, and have been performing there regularly since 2002. It's one of the few places I get to perform where the audience is coming in specifically to see a magic show.
Most of the time, I'm an add-on to an event. For example, if I get hired to perform close-up magic during the cocktail hour of a wedding, people enjoy the entertainment, but it's not why they're there.
Being in a proper theater, set-up specifically for close-up magic, and getting to perform for eager audiences, are just a few of the reasons working the Castle is so great. The whole experience is always fun, and I'm looking forward to it.
This is only the second time I've done the early close-up shows. Normally, I do the late shows. Honestly, I fit in better with the vampires.
Hopefully, I don't scare the early crowds away!
